Representatives of the founding parties of the Malta ESG Alliance paid a courtesy visit to Minister Miriam Dalli responsible for the Environment, Energy and Enterprise on the 28th September. She was accompanied by Ministry Advisor, Mr Steve Ellul. The meeting introduced the motivations and ambitions of the Alliance and its drive to collaborate with all well-meaning businesses in Malta in order to develop the correct momentum for a transition that will change Malta’s economy and enterprise based on sound ESG principles. The meeting discussed how this transformation will be brought about by the Alliance’s business, green finance and advisory leadership together with Government’s well-crafted and clear policies in a long term collaborative exercise. Government’s support to measure and benchmark ESG metrics were applauded. Discussion ensued on serious national ambition to drive economic competitivity with tangible and measurable actions led by the parties’ commitment to be accountable while successful.
