The Malta ESG Alliance (MESGA), through its founding member representatives, met with the Malta Stock Exchange (MSE) represented by their Executive Chairperson, Joseph Portelli and Chief Executive Officer, Simon Zammit. The meeting discussed the role of ESG in company business models and funding, including risks and opportunities. Cooperation and collaboration between the two entities to drive ESG values in the country’s investment portfolio was also discussed. Both businesses and funding institutions in Malta have a key role to support a Malta’s dynamic economy, tapping opportunities in high-quality E-S-G strategies and reporting, which will lead to better funding matching between investors and promoters.
